Nikon D40 Dead Flash Fix
So here I am playing with the Nikon D40 and wondering why the flash doesn't work. Needless to say the first result on my google search answered my question and showed exactly how to fix it. Super simple fix with only removing two screws on the flash and re-clipping a piece of metal. It took me longer to go upstairs and grab my screwdrivers than it did to fix the flash.
Thank you Mr. Laude for your very helpful Nikon D40 Flash Fix Video.
Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine.
that Zachary ended up wearing even though I think he was opposed to it, a Gore-tex that Quintin wore, and a blue jacket for Jarrod. Don't worry children, the rain with hide your tears for the 2 block walk.

The most embarassing day of my life..
I am embarrassed to say it, I just purchased a high end S-VHS VCR. I can honestly say that I have never, ever, EVER thought that I would spend actual money on a VCR. Of course being the frugal person that I am, it is a used model out of a studio.
WTF! you might say, well there is a method behind my madness. My family has some old VHS tapes that I want to convert to digital before the tech becomes unavailable. So for the money I have spent it will be a whole lot cheaper than paying someone to do it for me, and I can spend the time to adjust things to get the best output. This usually runs about $20 for an hr or two of transfer. I have about 15 tapes of variable length, so you can see where the cost would add up pretty quickly.
I am still looking to borrow a Digital8 player or camcorder(prefer multi-sys) if anyone knows of where I can get one. I only have a handful of Digital8 and Hi-8 tapes to convert.
